a kid
When I was a kid I used to cut out every little picture that I liked in any magazines and paper my walls with the pictures. They mostly included pictures of super heroes, cute girls, lego buildings, video game ads, and happy bunny posters (I’m sad to admit this) skate boarding tricks. Too bad adult decorations and toys are not so cheap or easy to come by! As we can see by my next goal in living quarters: the ascent. I just hope it’s not the ascent into debt for me.
Fall is approaching!
Fall is fast approaching I fear. Even though I hate winter with a passion, I love fall a lot! It’s just that the foreboding winter can ruin fall. Anyways, we were talking about costume parties last night, and I was laughing as I heard all the crazy costume ideas that my friends have been in the past. I definitely want to be something good this year. Any good ideas?
So, I had the craziest week this week, but it was a good one! A band from Seattle that I really like played on Monday night, and that was an awesome show. Check them out here.
Wonderful weather!
This weekend has been much better than last weekend! We’ve had incredible weather, I went out and spent some money on myself, sat on the porch and relaxed with friends, and had a frew drinks at Oktoberfest. I haven’t gotten anything done that I needed to get done, but ah, it’s the weekend-how can I be expected to??
blog name
Have I ever mentioned why I named this blog vulture valley? It sounds sort of dark I admit, but the fact is, when I was a kid I loved that scene in The Jungle Book where the Vultures sing “We’re your friend” and I admittedly remember all of the lyrics to this very day. Don’t get me started, or I’ll quote them all.
One time I went to see Disney on ice on some silly college date, and they had those vultures…I was so excited…UNTIL….they had remixed it and it sounded like a backstreet boys song! I was SO disappointed.
ewww!
I just read a blog post about wine made out of worms…WORMS?? Ew! Someone spare me. Here’s the blog…scroll down a bit.

At work
One of the perks of my job is that it is super low stress, and I get to leave at 4:30 no matter what I’m in the middle of. But, none the less, the pay is no good, and I’m currently looking for a new job. Any good ideas?
Labor day festivities
I just got back from a sweet camping trip down in Southern Indiana, and it made me want to go even more often! I think I”m going to save up for a nice tent and sleeping bag, but MAN nice ones are so expensive! I can’t decide which one is more important to purchase first…but I definitely need to get out into nature more often. *plans for spring break are entering my mind already…* Living urban life is loads of fun, but I live for the sun, the wilderness and sitting around the campfire relaxing.
Silence!
So, apparently I’m bad at keeping up with my blog. Nothing too interesting has happened lately I guess. I got a raise at work. That’s good news! I recently discovered my obsession with the old school shows “Freaks and Geeks” and I am heading out of town to a music festival this weekend, so those are good things! I look forward to camping out, sleeping in a tent, and hearing some good music! It’s a fairly small venue, but sometimes I think that’s way better. So, I’ll try to be better about writing on here so I don’t feel that overwhelming feeling of “there is way too much to even begin to know what to write.” Ok? Ok. It’s a deal.
