David Lynch: The Man Who Fell To Earth
Is David Lynch a fallen angel, a dreamcathcher, an english interpreter of english, or all 3. To be accurate David is just a man, but a man to marvel at nonetheless. The mind is a terrible thing to waste and this guy has taken exceptional measures to his in abundance. Films like Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, Lost Highway, Mulhlland Dr. and let us not forget Lynch's Magnus Opem Twin Peaks, will be time capsules of a visionary genius very few have even step foot near. These films are so much more vignettes of personal discoveries of imagination and awareness than terms like avant-garde, surrealism, post-modern, post-colonial, & magic-realist could ever hope to descibe.
I figure my first blog post might as well be dedicated to the guy that makes me incredibly thankful that the Lord gave me eyes. So here is a treat.
